Use of Cobras

Two Alert Readers respond to our query yesterday about the use of the MEU's Cobras. Perhaps they've been flown to a landward site to clear deckspace? And an excellent point about the lack of funding for the MV-22: "I guess those 40 year old CH-46s will have to last a little longer, carrying our most precious assets around in the back..." As every CH-46 pilot will tell you, if the bird isn't leaking somewhere, something's wrong. Many of the CH-46s have patches over old bullet holes from Viet Nam. The V22 is probably way off anyone's radar screen now.
